The stereotypes I have about Mexicans is that the men are super macho and will stare at and make comments towards American females. I also hold the stereotype that Mexico is much more dangerous than the United States. I have the stereotype that Mexicans are very friendly and smiling people.

During my stay in Merida, I expect to grow both academically and personally. I believe that I will greatly improve my understanding of the Spanish language and of the Mexican culture. I also believe that I will have a lot of fun meeting new people and having new experiences.
