OUMAYAB- The Ohio University Spanish Abroad Program

One stereotype that I have towards Mexicans is that they love tequila. I think that they would consider me to be a "gringo". Another stereotype that I have is that bartering is more common than prices. Others include that Mexicans take siestas and like soap operas, and a lot of Mexican police are corrupt.

During my time spent in Mexico, I would like to take advantage of the learning environment and come away with more than what I could have learned in a classroom in Athens. I am excited to live in a different culture and gain experiences beyond what I can imagine. Overall, I expect to come back a different, better person.
