I only have a few stereotypes that I have heard of. I have heard that the Mexicans can be dirty, and they do not bathe or clean enough. I have also heard the streets are dirty; they always have lots of trash everywhere. Another stereotype is that most of the women stay home and cook and clean or are housemaids. I’ve also heard about Mexico being a very poor place, where you can buy things very cheap. I do not have that many other stereotypes other than those. Maybe just that the men are pigs and really like American women.

While in Mexico I expect to improve my Spanish speaking skills. I hope to come back with a strong hold on speaking Spanish. I expect to visit some local tourist spots of interest, and do a lot of traveling. I hope I meet some people that I will never forget. I want this to be one of the most memorable times of my life. I expect to have a lot of fun as well as study hard. I hope to do well in all my classes. I am not really sure what to expect about the family I’m going to live with but I am sure they will be great. I expect to have a great time!
