Stereotypes and Expectations of Mexico

For the trip to Mexico, I expect to learn a lot. Not only the language, but about other cultures and people's way of life. I am excited to be able to live with a Mexican family. Although it will be difficult to adapt a first, it will really make me mature and appreciate different societies. I expect to have an amazing experience and I can't wait!
The stereotypes I have for Mexicans are mostly formed form living in America. I know many of these are not true, but they are seen to be poor, dirty and unhappy. Many want to come to America for a better life, so to me that means there’s isn’t that great. However, I know they are very into their cultures and have strong roots.
