Programa Mayab

Winter Quarter - Merida, Mexico
Director's Words

Programa Mayab 33.  We’re now at the beginning of the fifth week. Where has the time gone?  We’ve visited the UTM and met new friends there.  We had our first excursion to Uxmal and saw such incredible sights.  We have our second mini-excursion this coming Wednesday and our excursion to Chichén isn’t too far away.

As I come to the close of my twenty-two years in Merida, I remember so many wonderful times in this great city and this wonderful country.  As the great fifteenth-century poet, Jorge Manrique, wrote at the end of his “Coplas por la muerte de su padre”: dejónos harto consuelo su memoria.  So it will be with my years in the Mayab.
