We have just completed Week Three and look forward to the last week in January and the promise of a long weekend.

This week has been a busy one.
We’ve experienced the heat of Merida, as the temperatures have finally warmed up to the 80s and 90s.
In addition to our first excursion to Uxmal on Sat., Jan. 16, we visited the Universidad Tecnológica Metropolitana on Wed., Jan. 20.
Everyone seemed to enjoy our long day on the Ruta Puuc, in spite of having to get up so early on a Saturday.
The weather cooperated until a light rain blew in as we were finishing the visit to Uxmal.
The evening was beautiful and clear. We all felt like we could reach up and touch the stars.
The visit to the UTM was also an enjoyable morning.
Both UTM and OU Mayab students made new friends, practiced English and Spanish, and visited the impressive campus in the southern part of Merida.
On Thursday we took the official photo of students and teachers and staff.

Lots of students are traveling this weekend, and we all look forward to the long weekend of Jan. 30-Feb.1.

Our time is passing quickly, February is just around the corner.
